My name is Adam Svejda and I am a piano teacher and tuner located in the Rosedale, KS area. My journey with music began at a young age when I started piano lessons at the age of 5. This took me all the way to college where I studied music at the Glenn Korff School of Music with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. During my time in college, I taught piano lessons to about 25 students, most of whom were in the beginner to intermediate levels. After school, I ended up pursuing a career in the fire service eventually getting hired with a fire department in the KC area. However, I continued my education in music and began learning about the anatomy of pianos and how to tune and repair them. I completed an apprenticeship with a local piano shop in KCMO where I learned the basics of the trade and business. After all of this, I started working on my own piano and those of friends and family to build up my competence with the skill. Soon after, I started Precision Piano Tuning LLC. Here, I get to continue my love for music on my days off from the fire department and help others get the best possible sound from their pianos. I have also returned to teaching where I meet with students weekly and help progress other people’s journeys in music.
